On December 30, the entire Chongqing Yuxi Water Resources Allocation Project was connected to water. The project established a “interconnected, intermodulated and mutually beneficial” water resource allocation pattern for the Yangtze River and Jialing River. The total investment of the project was 14.345 billion yuan, and the annual water supply after commissioning was 1,012 billion cubic meters, benefiting 10 million people in the Chengdu and Chongqing Shuangcheng Economic Zone.
