The Yangpu Shugang Expressway, the first two-way eight-lane highway in Hainan Province, was officially completed and opened to traffic. The total length of the project is 35.338 kilometers, of which the main line is 33.037 kilometers long and the connection line is 2.301 kilometers long. From Dongcheng Town in Danzhou City in the north to Yangpu Port in the south, the main line uses a two-way eight-lane highway standard, with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour and a roadbed width of 42 meters; the connection line uses a two-way six-lane first-class highway standard, with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour and a roadbed width of 34.5 meters. The entire line has 16 bridges and 6 interchanges. As the first smart highway in Hainan Province, the “smart construction site” platform is used throughout the line.
