According to reports, AAAI received a total of 23,680 paper submissions in 2026, of which 4,167 papers were accepted, and the acceptance rate was only 17.6%. The paper “FastDriveVLA: Efficient End-to-End Driving via Plug-and-Play Reconstruction-based Token Pruning”, which was jointly completed by Xiaopeng Motors and the National Key Laboratory of Multimedia Information Processing at Peking University School of Computer Science was successfully selected. The paper's biggest contribution is that it proposes an efficient visual token pruning framework, FastDriveVLA, specially customized for end-to-end autonomous driving VLA models.
