Hapag-Lloyd's Hanseatic Global Terminals to Take 50% Stake in Imetame Logística Porto

10:49 AM EST, 12/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd's (HLAG.F) unit Hanseatic Global Terminals will acquire a 50% stake in Imetame Logística Porto under an agreement with Brazilian conglomerate Imetame Group. Under the deal with undisclosed financial terms, the companies will jointly develop and operate the new container terminal, Hanseatic Global Terminals Aracruz, in Espírito Santo, Brazil, which is expected to start operations by mid-2028, according to a Tuesday release. The transaction is subject to the fulfillment of customary conditions, including approvals by relevant antitrust authorities and other regulators.
