04:29 AM EST, 12/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Latvia's Supreme Court on Monday dismissed cassation appeals by TKM Grupp (TKM1T.TL) and its KIA Auto unit, upholding a 135,000-euro fine imposed by the Competition Council for competition law violations, a Tuesday release said. The council found the companies required KIA car owners to use only authorized service centers and spare parts under warranty terms in force between 2004 and 2009. The Supreme Court ruled that there were no grounds to open cassation proceedings, rendering the decision final. TKM Grupp reiterated that it did not breach competition law, while KIA Auto said it will comply with the ruling and continue normal operations.
