The main framework of the “6 axis, 7 corridors and 8 channels” national integrated three-dimensional transportation network has basically been completed, connecting more than 80% of the country's county-level administrative districts, serving about 90% of the country's total economy and population. Investment in fixed transportation assets has reached 18.8 trillion yuan, and comprehensive transportation capacity and operation efficiency have been greatly improved. During this period, a number of major iconic projects, such as the Shenzhen-China Corridor, the renovation and expansion of the Liaoning section of the Beijing-Harbin Expressway, the Beijing East Sixth Ring Road, the Changtai Yangtze River Bridge, the Dongjiakou Port area of Qingdao Port, and the Jiangyin Port area of Fuzhou Port were fully completed. During the “15th Five-Year Plan” period, the Ministry of Transport will continue to anchor the strategic goal of speeding up the construction of a strong transportation country, accelerate the improvement of a modern integrated transportation system, plan and build a large number of major projects, accelerate the integration of transportation, safety upgrading, digital intelligence upgrading, and green transformation, step up efforts to penetrate major integrated transportation channels, and provide better services to guarantee the national economic cycle and convenient travel for the masses.
