The Stainless Steel Branch of the China Iron and Steel Association announced the import and export customs data for China's stainless steel and main raw materials for November and January-November 2025. In November, China's imports of stainless steel were 112,100 tons, a decrease of 12,000 tons from the previous month, a decrease of 10%; a year-on-year decrease of 181,000 tons, a decrease of 14%. Among them, imports from Indonesia were 88,300 tons, a decrease of 16% from the previous month and a decrease of 17% from the previous year. Domestic imports of stainless steel from regions such as South Korea and Taiwan showed a month-on-month increase, while imports from regions such as Indonesia, Japan, and Vietnam declined month-on-month. In November, the top five regions imported domestic stainless steel totaled 104,700 tons, accounting for 93.34% of total imports. From January to November 2025, China's total imports of stainless steel were 1.374,200 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 365,300 tons, or 21%. Among them, imports from Indonesia were 1.104,400 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 24%; imports of stainless steel from Vietnam showed a year-on-year increase of 359%.
