On December 22, 2025 Hunan Advanced Steel Materials Industry Chain Upstream and Downstream Supporting Special Matchmaking Event and the “100 Million Enterprises” Large, Medium and Medium Enterprises Financing and Matchmaking Event was held in Changsha. With the theme of “Accurate Connection between Supply and Demand and Deep Industrial Collaboration”, the conference released the “Hunan Advanced Steel Materials Industry Chain Supply and Demand List”, focusing on solving the problem of asymmetric information upstream and downstream of the industrial chain and promoting the efficient matching of high-quality steel products with demand in key areas in the province. The supply and demand inventory system released this time integrates the core information of the industrial chain. The supply side brings together 13 key enterprises, including Hunan Iron and Steel Group and Zhuzhou Hard Alloy Group, covering 44 core products such as steel for construction machinery, automobile plates, electrical steel, and hard alloys. The demand side focuses on the province's characteristic and advantageous areas, and includes procurement information from 161 enterprises. The total annual procurement volume of steel materials reached 7.8049 million tons, which is about 25% of the province's steel production in 2024. From a structural perspective, the total demand in the four key areas of construction engineering, construction machinery, new energy vehicles, and new electric power equipment accounts for nearly 80%, fully reflecting the high degree of compatibility between the “steel demand” of the Hunan manufacturing industry and the industrial layout.
