The House of Representatives voted to pass the National Defense Authorization Act on the 10th, pending signature by President Trump. Foreign Minister Assad Hassan Hibani of the Syrian Transitional Government said this was a “positive trend” and opened up new space for cooperation between Syria and other countries.
