12:12 AM EST, 12/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Telefónica (TEF.MC) on Wednesday disclosed its plan to delist from the New York Stock Exchange, citing the "administrative burden and costs" of trading in the US. The Spanish telecommunications group said its application for delisting will be filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission in the coming weeks. The plan will involve the cancellation of the trading of its American depositary shares and debt securities on the bourse. As part of the plan, the company is giving holders of its ADS the chance to exchange the receipts for shares trading on Spanish stock exchanges. Telefónica will also delist its ADS from the Lima Stock Exchange in Peru and transfer the listing for some of its US debt securities to Euronext Dublin.
