Po Valley Energy Limited (ASX:PVE) insiders who purchased shares in the last 12 months were richly rewarded last week. The stock climbed by 16% resulting in a AU$10m addition to the company’s market value. Put another way, the original €188.4k acquisition is now worth €322.2k.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Po Valley Energy

The Executive Chairman & CEO Kevin Bailey made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for AU$140k worth of shares at a price of AU$0.039 each. Although we like to see insider buying, we note that this large purchase was at significantly below the recent price of AU$0.066. Because it occurred at a lower valuation, it doesn't tell us much about whether insiders might find today's price attractive.

While Po Valley Energy insiders bought shares during the last year, they didn't sell.
