On December 15, China's National Drug Administration issued Jingyu Medical Technology Co., Ltd.'s registration certificate for three types of products using invasive brain-computer interfaces to treat drug addiction. The product uses deep brain stimulation technology to implant electrodes into specific nerve nuclei regions of the brain by drilling two tiny holes in the patient's skull.
