Today, the 2025 summit of the World Tourism Economy Forum was held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. At the opening ceremony, the United Nations Tourism Organization awarded Harbin the “World Excellent City for Snow and Ice Tourism” and signed an agreement on snow and ice tourism research cooperation with Harbin. During the summit, a number of international organizations and domestic and foreign enterprises signed a number of cooperation agreements with enterprises and cities in Heilongjiang Province. With the theme of “New Quality Productivity: A New Engine for the World Tourism Economy”, the forum invited more than 1,000 guests from five continents and more than 30 countries and regions, including the Secretary General of the United Nations Tourism Organization and heads of relevant international organizations, officials from cultural tourism departments of many governments, executives from the world's top 500 companies, and well-known entrepreneurs, experts and scholars.
