Flash PMI: Eurozone Private Sector Output Growth Hits Three-month Low in December

04:16 AM EST, 12/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The euro area's private sector activity saw a "modest" expansion in December, with the latest reading remaining above the 50 neutral mark, as new order growth slowed due to lower demand from abroad. The HCOB Flash Eurozone Composite PMI Output Index hit a three-month low of 51.9, lower than the previous 52.8 and the expected 52.7, flash data from Hamburg Commercial Bank and S&P Global showed Tuesday. Meanwhile, the services PMI reached a three-month low of 52.6, compared with the earlier reading of 53.6 and the market forecast of 53.3. On the manufacturing side, the PMI stood at an eight-month low of 49.2, against the prior month's 49.6 and the consensus estimate of 49.9.
