The Zhitong Finance App learned that the Hong Kong Securities Regulatory Commission website shows that on December 15, the Hong Kong Securities Regulatory Commission added the “Hong Kong Stablecoin Exchange” to the alert list of suspicious virtual asset trading platforms.

The Hong Kong Securities Regulatory Commission stated that the entity claims to be a virtual asset trading platform operating on the above website and is suspected of engaging in unlicensed activities/fraudulent activities related to virtual assets. The entity falsely claimed that it was “co-founded by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the Stock Exchange, and the Hong Kong Futures Exchange”; in fact, it had nothing to do with the three.
