According to information, the project will build three new 500 kV substations, and the new transmission lines will pass through 14 cities and counties including Haikou, Sanya, Danzhou, and Qionghai, forming a complete ultra-high voltage ring network structure. This marks the first time that the main grid of the Hainan power grid has achieved a historic leap in voltage levels from 220 kV to 500 kV.
