On December 14, the Hefei Institute of Materials Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Macau University of Science and Technology and the Chinese University of Hong Kong jointly signed an agreement. The three parties cooperated to jointly build the “Deep Space Matter Composition Spectroscopy Joint Laboratory” and simultaneously launched a joint development mission for the Tianzhou-3 payload “laser heterodyne spectrometer”. In the future, the joint laboratory will focus on key scientific issues in deep space exploration, focus on developing high-sensitivity and high-resolution spectral detection technology, carry out in-situ and remote sensing exploration research on the material components of celestial bodies such as Mars and the Moon, and jointly cultivate complex talents in planetary science and space technology with a global perspective.
