AD Ports to Acquire Majority Ownership in Egypt's Alexandria Container & Cargo Handling Co

11:58 PM EST, 12/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Abu Dhabi Ports (ADX:ADPORTS), d/b/a AD Ports Group, plans to initiate a cash mandatory tender offer for Alexandria Container & Cargo Handling Co at 22.99 Egyptian pounds per share to gain a majority ownership in the latter. The logistics and industry group targets a minimum uptake of nearly 32% stake, with governmental shareholders of Alexandria Container & Cargo Handling set to maintain their current holdings, according to a Monday release. Closing of the deal is anticipated in the second quarter of 2026, subject to Egyptian regulatory approvals. AD Ports currently owns a 19.3% shareholding in the Egyptian container and cargo handling company.
