Airbus Bags Up to EUR50 Million Contract for AI Integration Across French Defense Systems

05:47 AM EST, 12/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Airbus (AIR.PA, AIR.F) secured a contract from the French Defense Procurement Agency to deploy artificial intelligence components into the French armed forces' information systems. The contract, valued at up to 50 million euros, covers the integration of AI capabilities across weapons, information, communication, and cybersecurity systems delivered by Airbus Defense and Space and Airbus Helicopters, according to a Wednesday release. Under the first phase, the plane manufacturer will upgrade the French maritime surveillance system Spationav before extending AI integration to additional systems supporting intelligence, cybersecurity, and connectivity.
