05:22 AM EST, 12/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- AlphaValue/Baader Europe adjusted its rating, price target and EPS estimates for Carrefour (CA.PA), noting a valuation reset amid a "weaker" outlook for the French food retailer. "We have adopted a more cautious view of Carrefour's outlook, particularly for France and Brazil. Brazil, although still the group's cash generator, has underperformed for two consecutive quarters (e.g., low single-digit [like-for-like] growth in Q3), largely due to macroeconomic pressures. In France, despite management's intensified efforts on pricing and promotions, which have helped slow market share losses, competitive dynamics remain challenging. We now assume a slower recovery for French hypermarkets, forecasting flat to slightly negative LFL sales over the projection period," the Dec. 5 note said. Analysts revised their rating to add from buy and decreased their price target by 9.92% to 15.6 euros. On the earnings side and following "a soft" third-quarter 2025 report and the sale of the group's Italian business, the research firm now expects a full-year 2025 EPS of 1.51 euros versus its previously expected 1.66 euros. For 2026, the forecasted EPS was cut by 7.33% to 1.74 euros.
