Over the past six years, TCL has invested more than 60 billion yuan in R&D and applied for more than 110,000 patents, covering key strategic technology, material technology, equipment technology and device process technology. According to Wang Cheng, TCL has now proposed an “AI to reality” strategy and is deeply integrating AI technology into the entire process of industrial development to make industrial development more resilient and dynamic. In the manufacturing process, TCL uses AI technology to reshape traditional production models to promote cost optimization, efficiency improvement and quality upgrade; in the R&D process, it achieves cost reduction and efficiency in technological innovation through “AI+ simulation” and “Star Intelligence Big Model”; and in the operation process, it deeply integrates intelligence into the entire business process to promote intelligent upgrading of the entire link. In order to lay out the core competitive focus of the next-generation display industry, TCL launched the construction of the first high-generation printing OLED production line, the TCL Huaxing T8 project this year. The first phase will invest 29.5 billion yuan.
