The Zhitong Finance App learned that the “2025 China eSports Industry Report” released by the China Audiovisual and Digital Publishing Association shows that in 2025, China's e-sports industry revenue was 29.331 billion yuan, up 6.40% year on year, achieving steady growth; the number of e-sports users in China exceeded 495 million, a significant increase over last year, with a growth rate of 1.06%; among the main Chinese e-sports game products, classified by platform, mobile games accounted for 58.6%, client-side games accounted for 25.3%, and e-sports games with two versions at the same time accounted for 12.1%. Web games account for 4.0%.

In 2025, a total of 142 non-performance e-sports events involving professional players at the provincial level and above in China will be held (each series counts as one event), an increase of 18 over last year. By the end of 2025, there were 165 e-sports clubs in China, and cities with 10 or more e-sports clubs include Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. Among them, Shanghai is still the city with the most number of clubs and continues to rank first.
