The reporter learned from the Xinjiang Fire and Rescue Corps that at 15:44 on December 4, 2025, a 6.0 magnitude earthquake occurred in Aheqi County, Kezhou, Xinjiang. The depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometers. The epicenter was located at 41.13 degrees north latitude and 78.4 degrees east longitude. The earthquake was clearly felt in Aheqi County. After the earthquake occurred, the Kerzhou Fire and Rescue Detachment dispatched 4 vehicles and 12 people from the Ahoqi County Brigade to investigate the epicenter. The Kerzhou Detachment prepared 15 vehicles, 60 people, and 2 dogs for dispatch. The Xinjiang Fire and Rescue Corps immediately launched the “Xinjiang Fire and Rescue Corps Earthquake Rescue Plan” and assembled 2 heavy teams, 6 light teams, and 7 mobile teams with a total of 173 vehicles, 770 people and 30 dogs to prepare for dispatch. As verified by district rapists, local public security, emergency response, earthquake and other departments, there were no reports of casualties or house collapses.
