An international seminar on “Human Rights and Development”, co-hosted by the China Society for Human Rights Studies and the Indonesian Institute of Gentara Research, was held on the 2nd in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. More than 20 people attended the conference, including academics from think tanks, social organizations and media representatives from China and Indonesia in the field of human rights. The participants had in-depth exchanges on topics such as the core logic of “promoting human rights through development” resonates with Chinese and Indonesian practice, the protection of economic, social and cultural rights, the practice of protecting the rights and common prosperity of specific groups, equal development rights and cooperation between China and Indonesia in global human rights governance, and coordinated promotion of green development and environmental rights protection.
