Global smartphone sales increased 4% year over year in Q3 2025, the strongest performance since 2021 in September, and most regions continued to recover.

Android continued to maintain its leading position in the world with a share of 79%, but was down 1 percentage point from Q3 2024 due to increased competition. The Samsung Galaxy folding screen series performed well, while early updates to some A series products helped offset the decline. HONOR's growth in many regions has also supported the performance of the Android system.

iOS accounted for 17% of global sales in Q3 2025, an increase of 1 percentage point over the same period last year. The initial response of the iPhone 17 series worldwide was better than expected, with significant growth in key markets such as the US, Japan, and India. Additionally, the older iPhone 16 series performed well during India's festive sales.

In the Chinese market, HarmonyOS received a 14% share in Q3 2025, surpassing other platforms and becoming the second-largest smartphone operating system in the country. The Huawei Nova 14 series is the main driver of growth, and its folding screen products also continue to perform well. However, the new models equipped with HarmonyOS Next still face some challenges due to initial ecological restrictions.
