On November 10, 2025, the China Tablet Market Report for the third quarter of 2025 released by International Data Corporation (IDC) showed that the Chinese tablet market shipped 8.49 million units, an increase of 10.9% over the previous year. Among them, with strong performance in both the consumer and commercial markets, Lenovo tablets jumped from 6.8% in the same period in 2024 to 10.5%, ranking fourth in the industry and became the brightest growth force in the Chinese tablet market this quarter. The market share of Huawei, Apple, and Xiaomi, which ranked in the top three in the market, all showed a decline in the same period last year.

According to IDC, the consumer market performance is particularly outstanding. The Y700 series is leading the small-size segment circuit under 10 inches with its performance advantages and accumulation of game scenarios; the newly launched Xiaoxin Tablet 12.1 and Xiaoxin Pro GT have helped Lenovo further improve the mainstream product layout. In terms of the commercial market, Lenovo has maintained steady shipment growth, relying on deep cultivation in the fields of education and large enterprise customers.

Liu Yun, a senior analyst at IDC China, said that due to the gradual weakening of the effects of the “state subsidy” policy and the tightening of policies in some provinces, the growth rate of the Chinese tablet market is expected to slow down at the end of the year compared to the previous three quarters. However, the early policy effectively boosted the user base, and the continuous optimization of tablet products in terms of hardware performance, scenario-based applications, and software ecology, still injected growth potential into the subsequent development of the market.

Looking at the global market, Lenovo tablets have performed just as well. According to data from Omdia, another world-renowned market research agency, global tablet shipments increased for the seventh consecutive quarter in the third quarter, rising 5% year-on-year to 40 million units. Among them, Lenovo Tablet led the industry with a 23% year-on-year shipment growth rate, surpassing Huawei to return to third place in the global tablet market (9.1% market share), and became the brand with the highest growth rate among the top five tablet manufacturers in the world. At the same time, it led the Chromebook segment with a year-on-year growth rate of 54.6%. Two-eye data in the two fields confirms its strong competitiveness in the tablet field, and further highlights the remarkable results of the advanced terminal strategy empowered by AI technology.

Taken together, the high growth of Lenovo tablets is also inseparable from the full empowerment of terminal products with AI technology. Lenovo is responding positively to the global AI wave and is promoting the transformation of tablets into “AI terminals” through cooperation with partners such as Nvidia and Intel.
