The 2025 national health insurance catalogue on-site negotiations and commercial insurance innovative drug catalogue price negotiations officially began at the Beijing National People's Congress Center. A Financial Services Association reporter observed on the scene that at around 7:30 in the morning, the first batch of corporate negotiators were already waiting outside the gate. At around 8 o'clock, there was already a long line outside the National Convention Center. This year's national talks officially introduced the “Commercial Insurance Innovative Drug Catalogue” mechanism for the first time on the basis of continuing the regular adjustment mechanism of the medical insurance catalogue. This model marks the transformation of China's medical insurance system from “basic insurance” to “multi-level coverage,” and payment pressure for high-value innovative drugs is expected to be diverted through commercial insurance channels. According to the list of drugs approved in the current round of national negotiations previously announced by the Health Insurance Administration, a total of 535 drugs have passed the review in the form of a basic catalogue. In addition, 121 high-value drugs have passed the examination in the form of a commercial insurance innovative drug catalogue.
