Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education issued the “Implementation Plan for the High Quality Development of Ordinary High Schools in Shanghai”. On October 22, the Municipal Education Commission responded to several issues of concern to the general public. The Municipal Education Commission said that all along, some schools in Shanghai have explored comprehensive long-term education and obtained systematic work experience. The plan proposes pilot long-term education training, which is a further deepening on the basis of existing work. By constructing an integrated training chain, the student growth path is more consistent and the overall effectiveness of talent training is enhanced. The essence of long-term training is to uniformly design the curriculum to achieve comprehensive use of resources; it does not abolish the secondary school entrance examination.
