In his keynote address at the opening ceremony, Leng Youbin proposed that the key to addressing the dual challenges of growth and sustainability in the global dairy industry is to build a “symbiotic” development model — coexisting with industrial roots, with global wisdom, and with the future environment. He pointed out, “The dairy industry is essentially an industry about 'symbiosis'. Only open collaboration can we create the future together. In this process, Feihe has always been at the forefront, actively playing a leading role in the industry, and with 63 years of deep accumulation, Feihe has formed the cornerstone of responding to the challenges of the times.” Facing the challenges faced by the global dairy industry, through the collaborative practice of symbiosis, Feihe has embarked on a clear path to sustainable development and social value creation. China's dairy industry has gradually grown from a follower to a leader in the sustainable development of the global dairy industry.

Build a solid and reliable whole industry chain, and the Feihe symbiosis model sets a global benchmark

Leng Youbin said, “We know that only by establishing long-term and stable symbiotic relationships with land and ranches and consolidating the foundation of the industry can we guarantee the quality and safety of products at the source.”

Since 2006, Feihe has taken the lead in launching a full industrial chain layout, building the first complete industrial chain of the infant formula industry in China, and the largest industrial cluster in the world. So far, Feihe has 13 modern core factories, 13 own ranches, 1 million mu of exclusive farms, and over 115,000 high-quality cows. Its total control level of raw milk colonies is 20 times better than the EU standard. It has not only set a global dairy quality benchmark, but also solved supply chain risks through large-scale cost reduction and efficiency, and provided dairy samples to ensure the country's food security.

Through the layout of the entire industry chain, Feihe took the lead in achieving 3 100%: 100% farm automation, 100% own ranch and dairy, and 100% own raw milk. Leng Youbin said, “This is not only a production chain, but also a 'symbiotic ecology': the farm supplies feed to the ranch, the ranch provides the factory with high-quality milk sources, and the factory's by-products return to farmland to achieve resource recycling.”

Today, Feikaku is using this proven industrial model and management standards for a global layout. In Canada, with a mature quality system and product plan, Feihe obtained the country's first infant formula production license issued to a foreign company. At present, the products have entered more than 1,500 supermarkets and are well recognized by the market. In Southeast Asia, Feihe develops products tailored to local needs through technology sharing and capacity building, so that nutrition more suited to local needs can benefit more children around the world.

At the same time, the “2-hour ecosystem” built by Feihe enables fresh milk to be quickly transported to the factory at a low temperature. From milking to processing, fresh and active nutrients are locked to the maximum extent, making it safer, fresher, more active, and of higher quality. Relying on the whole freshness guarantee from milk source to production, Feihe will achieve traceability of the raw material level of milk powder, so that every fresh product has evidence to follow, and nurture a fresh future for Chinese babies with more suitable nutrition.

Promote open and collaborative scientific research and innovation, and build core competitiveness with a “better fit”

In terms of scientific research, Leng Youbin emphasized that Feihe has always adhered to the concept of openness, actively integrated into global innovation networks, and built an “innovation community” with top scientific research forces.

Take breast milk research as an example. As one of the earliest companies to carry out breast milk research in China, Feihe has been very successful. It not only spearheaded the implementation of national key research and development plans, but also established the first breast milk research database in China. As early as 2009, Feihe participated in the national “863 Program” to begin research on breast milk in China. In 2022, Feihe took the lead in undertaking the “14th Five-Year Plan” national key research and development plan and built the largest maternal and child health cohort in China to provide solid data support for the development of formulations closer to breast milk. In terms of breadth, Feihe has established cooperative relationships with 7 countries around the world, including Harvard University, and more than 20 top universities and scientific research institutions to jointly explore the research and development of breastfeeding formulations.

In terms of process, Feihe uses the world's leading milk protein extraction technology to directly extract active protein from Feihe's high-quality fresh milk to preserve the natural activity and nutritional function of milk protein to the greatest extent. Feihe has mastered 100% self-production capacity for key nutrients such as lactoferrin and demineralized whey powder to ensure that every can of milk powder has fresher quality and more fresh nutrients. Through breakthroughs in key raw material technology, Feihe has set a new benchmark for “fresh nutrition”, driving the entire industry's attention to investing in fresh processes, driving the overall level of the industry to improve, and driving the Chinese dairy industry to the upper end of the global value chain.

Not long ago, Feihe held the “More Suitable for Chinese Babies' Physique” scientific research breakthrough and new product launch conference. “More suitable for the new generation”, a comprehensive breakthrough and upgrade in the four dimensions of the entire industry chain, breastfeeding formula, fresh nutrition, and feeding effects. The world's original “fresh nutrition system” has achieved systematic breakthroughs from fresh milk sources and fresh ingredients to fresh processes, truly putting “fresh nutrition” into practice.

Through core technological innovation, Feihe Xingfeifan Zhuorui milk powder has achieved significant improvements in nutritional activity and absorption rate. At the same time, new products “more suitable for a new generation”, such as Enlightenment and Trace, which are about to be launched, further replicate the nutritional ecology and fresh ecology of breast milk, and will better stimulate babies' potential.

According to Frost & Sullivan statistics, Feihe has been the number one seller in the Chinese infant formula market for 6 consecutive years, and has been at the top of the global infant formula sales list for 4 consecutive years. In the first half of 2025, the omni-channel market share and sales volume of Feiheying Powder still ranked first in the market. This is an expression of product quality, and it is also consumers' trust and choice.

Fulfilling its long-term commitment to green development, Feihe reconstructs a new ecosystem of development through value symbiosis

In the wave of green transformation in the global dairy industry, Feihe sees the ESG concept as an action guide for the dairy industry to the future, and actively integrates it into every link in the industrial chain from “growing grass and raising cows” to “one cup of milk powder.”

At the World Dairy Summit, Leng Youbin further stated, “Environmental protection and industrial development are not trade-offs; they can coexist and go hand in hand. The dairy industry can win a sustainable future only if the green concept is embedded in the entire chain of operations.” By building a “green industrial chain”, Feihe works with upstream and downstream partners to promote sustainable development. At present, Feihe has built the largest ecological recycling project in the alpine region of China and built the world's first ecological recycling industry cluster. Through the innovative “return of manure to fields” model, carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced by nearly 400,000 tons per year, which is equivalent to planting more than 20 million trees. The model has been included by the United Nations as a replicable solution, providing “Chinese wisdom” for agricultural development in alpine regions around the world.

Feihe's appearance at the World Dairy Summit is not only Feihe's individual achievement, but also a reflection of the improvement in the overall strength of China's dairy industry. As the only Chinese dairy company invited to attend the opening ceremony and the only Chinese brand to attend the World Dairy Industry Leaders Summit, Feihe shared the development experience of the Chinese dairy industry with global dairy elites.

As the global dairy industry moves towards a more sustainable future, Feihe will continue to be deeply integrated into the global dairy system with an open and inclusive attitude, share its “symbiosis model” in the field of sustainable development, benefit more households around the world through scientific and technological innovation and high-quality products, and inject Chinese strength into the high-quality and sustainable development of the global dairy industry.
