Today, the key project of the national “14th Five-Year Plan” oil and gas development plan — the West-East Gas Pipeline Line 3 Zhongwei to Zaoyang section project was officially put into operation and ventilation. This marks the full operation of the West-East Gas Pipeline Line 3 line project, and the capacity to guarantee natural gas supply in central and eastern China will be significantly improved. The Zhongwei to Zaoyang section, which was put into operation this time, is the core line in the middle section of the West-East Gas Pipeline Line 3. The total length of the pipeline is 1,235 kilometers, the design pressure is 10 MPa, the pipe diameter is 1,219 mm, and the annual gas transmission capacity is 25 billion cubic meters. The pipeline departs from Ningxia and passes through the five provinces of Gansu, Shaanxi, Henan, and Hubei. After operation, it will be connected to the existing West-East Gas Pipeline System, further radiating the natural gas transmission range to the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Bohai Rim, and Sichuan and Chongqing regions, forming a cross-regional energy transportation channel.
