On September 22, MediaTek released the Tianji 9500 flagship 5G mobile phone processor chip. The Tianji 9500's full-core CPU architecture includes 1 C1-Ultra supercore with a frequency of up to 4.21GHz, 3 C1-Premium ultra-large cores and 4 C1-Pro large cores. The integrated matrix operation instruction set SME2 is the first to support the 4-channel UFS4.1 flash memory architecture. Single-core performance is 32% higher than the previous generation, multi-core performance is 17% higher, super-core power consumption is 55% lower than the peak performance of the previous generation X925, and multi-core power consumption is 37% lower than the peak performance of the previous generation. The first smartphones with MediaTek Tianji 9500 chips are expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2025.
