Best Buy (BBY.US) was selected as the exclusive large-scale retailer for the new Meta AI glasses

The Zhitong Finance App learned that Best Buy (BBY.US) said in an official statement on Thursday that it has been selected as the exclusive major retailer for the new Meta (META.US) Ray-Ban Display glasses. The retailer said that starting October 3, customers can experience how to use these AI glasses at more than 300 stores in the US and learn how to interact with specific apps through them.

Jason Bonfig, Chief Customer, Product and Compliance Officer at Best Buy, said, “We've all had moments where we were deeply shocked by a new technology, and Meta's collaboration with Ray-Ban's AI glasses is the kind of moment you can only see it with your own eyes and believe.”

At the Meta Connect conference, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg (Mark Zuckerberg) announced the launch of the company's first consumer-grade smart glasses, the Meta Ray-Ban Display, equipped with a neural wristband, which will go on sale on September 30, starting at 799 US dollars (approximately RMB 5,678).

Best Buy said its stores will also sell second-generation Meta Ray-Bans sunglasses and new Oakley Vanguard glasses. The Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses cost $799, the Oakley Vanguard costs $499, and the second-generation Meta Ray-Ban starts at $379.
