According to the Shanxi Aviation Industry Group, on the afternoon of September 5, major progress was made in the Taiyuan Wusu International Airport Phase III renovation and expansion project. After a Capital Airlines Airbus A320 completed a series of verification subjects such as take-off, landing, and resumption of flight, it marked the completion of a real aircraft test flight of the new second runway at Taiyuan Wusu International Airport, laying the foundation for subsequent industry acceptance and operation by the end of this year. Taiyuan Wusu International Airport's newly built second runway has a total length of 3,600 meters and a width of 45 meters, which can meet the take-off and landing needs of large wide-body airliners, and will greatly improve the airport's operation support capacity after operation. At present, the Shanxi Aviation Industry Group has successively completed key tasks such as commissioning, completion inspection, and real aircraft test flights. This successful test flight marks that the new second runway and supporting facilities are fully navigable.
