The Public Security Police of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government released news on September 1 that from July to August this year, the number of inbound visitors to Macau reached 7.68 million, an average of 123,000 per day, an increase of 15.2% over the same period last year. Tourists from the Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and foreign visitors accounted for 75.8%, 17%, 2.4%, and 4.8%, respectively. Furthermore, from July to August, the number of people entering and leaving Macau reached 41.01 million, and the average number of daily arrivals and departures reached 661,000, an increase of 8.5% over the same period last year. Among them, customs clearance at Guanzha Port, Qingmao Port, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port, and Hengqin Port accounted for 52.7%, 14.9%, 12.7%, and 12.4%, respectively.
