According to Meta CTO, Meta is expected to release Celeste smart glasses with display, third-generation Rayban-Meta glasses, and sports Oakley glasses, and may also present new “metaverse software” to redefine AI glasses in terms of hardware, interaction, and software.

According to analyst Guo Mingyi's latest forecast, Meta's upcoming AI glasses, HyperNova, are expected to begin mass production in the third quarter of 2025. The product life cycle is two years, and the shipment volume is about 150,000 to 200,000 units within the next two years. Guo Mingyi said that AI will be Hypernova's most important selling point. Currently, application exploration integrating AI and AR is still in its early stages. Coupled with its price as high as $800, this is probably the main reason Meta views Hypernova's shipments conservatively.

Huatai Securities pointed out that in addition to Meta, domestic companies such as Xiaomi, Rokid, Thunderbird, and XReal have launched AI/AR glasses one after another since the beginning of the year, and leading foreign companies such as Google, Samsung, Apple, and Amazon have gradually clarified their software and hardware plans for AI/AR glasses. We continue to be optimistic about the long-term potential of the eyewear product form as an always-on interactive gateway in the context of improving AI model capabilities; at the same time, it is recommended to focus on the short-term catalytic effects of recent new product launches by leading companies on the industry chain.

CMB International released a research report saying that it continues to be optimistic about the booming development of the AI glasses industry. It believes that the strong growth of Ray-Ban Meta glasses in the first half of the year, the target shipment volume of 500,000 Xiaomi AI glasses, the rich product pipeline of various brands, and the continuous expansion of ecosystems and artificial intelligence functions and application scenarios will pave the way for the growth of related supply chains in the second half of this year.

Connett Optics (02276): SDIC Securities released a research report saying that the company is expected to fully benefit from the upgrading trend of the AI glasses industry and open up room for growth. AR myopia solutions are being upgraded to a lightweight, high-performance integrated fit that requires a higher level of manufacturing. The company began integrated card XR technology in '21, and introduced strategic cooperation with shareholder Goertek Co., Ltd., which is expected to form customer collaboration. Currently, it has received research projects and small trial orders from leading global technology and consumer electronics companies, and will build a new dedicated production line for XR lenses in Thailand.

Lansi Technology (06613): Recently, it was reported in the market that Meta will release the next generation of Ray-BANAI glasses in September, and the product will add an AR display function.
