China Automobile Dealers Association: National commercial vehicle export sales increased 28.72% year-on-year in July, export value exceeded 20 billion yuan

The Zhitong Finance App learned that according to data from the Commercial Vehicle Professional Committee of the China Automobile Dealers Association, retail sales of new commercial vehicles were 1.7672 million units from January to July 2025, a cumulative increase of 6.47% over the previous year. Of these, sales volume in July was 249,400 units, up 12.24% year on year and down 3.78% month on month.

In terms of exports, from January to July 2025, the export sales volume of commercial vehicles was 621,000 units, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 25.87%. Among them, export sales volume in July was 94,300 vehicles, up 28.72% year on year and 2.08% month on month. The monthly export volume reached 20.625 billion yuan.

I. Retail sales volume in July 2025

According to sales data provided by the Commercial Vehicle Professional Committee of the China Automobile Dealers Association, retail sales of commercial vehicles nationwide in July 2025 were 249,400 units, up 12.24% year on year and 3.78% month on month.

Trucks: Retail sales in July were 203,800 units, up 12.33% year on year and down 4.93% month on month. The top 5 companies account for 39.55% of retail sales, followed by Foton Motor, SAIC Wuling, FAW Jiefang, Sinotruk Howo, and JAC.

Buses: Retail sales in July were 45,500 units, up 11.85% year on year and 1.71% month on month. The top 5 companies accounted for 52.09% of retail sales, followed by JMC, SAIC Chase, Geely, SAIC Wuling, and Foton.

In January-July, the cumulative retail sales volume of commercial vehicles nationwide was 1.7672 million units, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 6.47%.

According to sales data provided by the Commercial Vehicle Professional Committee of the China Automobile Dealers Association, in July 2025, the national commercial vehicle export sales volume was 94,300 units, up 28.72% year on year, up 2.08% month on month; exports reached 20.625 billion yuan in the same month.
