From what we can see, insiders were net buyers in Flat Glass Group Co., Ltd.'s (HKG:6865 ) during the past 12 months. That is, insiders acquired the stock in greater numbers than they sold it.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

Flat Glass Group Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The insider Yan Peng made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for HK$66m worth of shares at a price of HK$13.46 each. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at above the current price of HK$10.28. Their view may have changed since then, but at least it shows they felt optimistic at the time. To us, it's very important to consider the price insiders pay for shares. As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock when an insider has bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price. Yan Peng was the only individual insider to buy shares in the last twelve months. Notably Yan Peng was also the biggest seller.
