Barclays Bank is recruiting two senior executives in the securitization products business to expand its influence in the multi-trillion-dollar market. Shaishav Agarwal will join the British bank as head of US commercial mortgage-backed securities, according to a statement. Prior to that, he worked at Deutsche Bank for about 20 years as a global head of commercial real estate capital markets. The statement stated that Agarwal will report to Martin Attea, global head of securitization product initiation business. Barclays said Guanqing Xiang will act as co-head of guaranteed collateral securities and head of institutional CMBS transactions. According to his LinkedIn profile, Xiang was the managing director of the Bank of Montreal. Barclays said he will report to David Garner, global head of securitized product bond trading.
