Maverick Electric (NIU.US) Q2 revenue increased 33.5% year over year, turning loss into profit

The Zhitong Finance App learned that Maverick Electric (NIU.US) announced the results for the second quarter of 2025. According to financial reports, Maverick Electric's Q2 revenue was 1,255.7 billion yuan (unit: RMB, same below), up 33.5% year on year; net profit was 5.9 million yuan, compared with net loss of 24.9 million yuan for the same period last year; net profit per ADS share was 0.07 yuan, and ADS loss per share was 0.31 yuan for the same period last year.

Maverick Electric first dropped sales of electric scooters to 350,090 units, up 36.7% year over year. By region, sales of electric scooters in China reached 318,719 units, up 53.6% year on year; sales volume of electric scooters in the international market was 31,371 units, down 35.5% year on year.

Gross margin was 20.1% compared to 17.0% for the same period in 2024. The increase was mainly due to an increase in the share of electric scooter sales and an increase in gross margin in the Chinese market, reflecting the positive impact of the company's cost reduction measures.

As of June 30, 2025, the number of franchised stores in China was 4,304. The number of distributors in the international sales network is 57, covering 53 countries.

As of June 30, 2025, the company held a total of RMB 1,226.6 billion in cash and cash equivalents, time deposits and short-term investments. The company holds RMB214.8 million in restricted cash and RMB220 million in short-term bank loans.

Maverick Electric expects revenue for the third quarter of 2025 to be between 1,433 billion yuan and 1,638 million yuan, an increase of 40% to 60% over the previous year.
