On July 25, the first “Thunder RS” rocket engine was successfully assembled and delivered at Deep Blue Aerospace's headquarters and liquid rocket assembly base in the Wuxi High-tech Zone. This is the first 130-ton liquid oxygen kerosene engine independently developed and produced by Deep Blue Aerospace. It is also the most powerful open circulation liquid oxygen kerosene rocket engine currently being developed domestically. Zhang Chengcong, deputy general manager of Deep Blue Aerospace and head of manufacturing, explained that the “Thunder RS” engine uses a liquid oxygen kerosene propellant combination and has the key advantages required for large recyclable liquid rockets, such as high reliability, high thrust, multiple starts, deep throttling, non-toxic and environmentally friendly.
