From July 23 to 24, Liu Jianchao, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, visited Singapore to meet and exchange with Singapore People's Action Party Secretary General and Prime Minister Huang Xuncai, PBC Assistant Secretary General, Public Service Co-ordinating Minister and Minister of Defense Chen Zhensheng, PBOC Chairman and Minister of Education Li Zhiyi, Chairman of the People's Bank of China Policy Forum and Minister of National Development Xu Fangda, and Shen Ying, senior minister of government affairs of the People's Bank of China Central Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs. The two sides stated that they will implement the important consensus of the leaders of the two countries, strengthen political dialogue, close inter-party exchanges, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and inject more stability and certainty into the world through the development of Sino-Singapore relations.
