US grain food giant Kellogg's announced an update on its transparency, quality, and safety commitment on July 18, saying it will remove relevant pigments from a small portion of retail foods currently containing “FD&C synthetic colorings” by the end of 2027. Earlier, the company had announced that it would no longer launch new products containing these pigments starting in 2026, and promised to remove these ingredients from its cereal supplies in schools by the 2026-2027 school year.
