Restaurant company Yunhai Cuisine was fined up to SGD 7,000 on Thursday for a mass food poisoning incident at ByteDance's Singapore office last year. Lu Zhitao, CEO of Yunhai Cuisine Group Singapore Branch, represented the operating company in court to accept the verdict. After the case was handed down, Yunhai Cuisine issued a statement publicly apologizing to the affected ByteDance employees and the public, revealing that it had permanently suspended the “Company Group Meal” service and also closed the Norfolk City branch.
