Pharmaceutical maker Pfizer has vacated a 61,000-square-foot office at the Highlands Tech Centre Campus in Bothell, Washington.

The company exited its space at 21520 30th Drive SE during the second quarter, according to CBRE’s latest market report. The company still occupies both office and lab space on the campus, reported the Puget Sound Business Journal.

The company employs about 1,500 workers in the Seattle area. The Bothell campus was the headquarters of Seagen, which was founded in 1997 as Seattle Genetics and was the largest biotech company in Washington.

Pfizer acquired Seagen in 2023 for $43 billion. The acquisition included a $350 million Seagen-led manufacturing facility project in Everett. Pfizer shut down construction on the facility last year, a move that resulted in 119 layoffs. The vacancy at Highlands Tech Centre comes amid a broader slowdown in the Eastside office market, which saw its vacancy rate rise from 21.9% to 23.5% quarter-over-quarter.
