According to data released by the China Securities Investment Fund Industry Association on July 17, as of the end of June 2025, there were 1,756 active private equity fund managers, 140,558 funds managed, and 20.26 trillion yuan of funds managed. Among them, there are 7,761 private equity investment fund managers; 1,181 private equity and venture capital fund managers; 6 private equity asset allocation fund managers; and 188 other private equity fund managers. There are 83,356 surviving private equity investment funds, with a survival scale of 5.56 trillion yuan; 30201 private equity investment funds, with a survival scale of 10.95 trillion yuan; and 26,144 surviving venture capital funds, with a survival scale of 3.41 trillion yuan. The number of newly registered private equity funds is 1,540, and the new filing scale is 50,057 billion yuan.
