The 9th OPEC International Symposium opened on the 9th at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, the capital of Austria. Delegates focused on the energy transition and called for joint efforts to address the energy sector and climate change challenges. The theme of this two-day symposium was “Co-planning the Path: The Future of Global Energy”. A number of ministerial meetings and high-level round-table forums will be held during the conference to discuss topics such as global energy market trends, energy security and investment, and combating climate change and sustainable development, and release the “2025 World Petroleum Outlook” flagship report.
