China Automobile Association: The total import and export volume of automobile products in May was US$25.06 billion, up 3.2% year on year

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on July 3, according to data from the General Administration of Customs compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in May 2025, the total import and export volume of automobile products was 25.06 billion US dollars, up 8.5% from the previous month and 3.2% from the previous year. Among them, the import amount was 4.38 billion US dollars, up 18.4% from the previous year, down 25% from the previous year; the export amount was 20.67 billion US dollars, up 6.6% from the previous month, up 12.2% year on year. From January to May 2025, the country's cumulative total import and export volume of automobile products was US$107.73 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 2.7%. Among them, imports amounted to US$17.66 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 32.4%; exports amounted to US$90,007 billion, an increase of 6.5% year-on-year.
