On July 1, the first test data from the Shenzhen Hospital of the University of Hong Kong was successfully transmitted to the Hong Kong “eHealth” system via the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Data Cross-border Secure and Convenient Channel. This marks new progress in data interconnection technology between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and provides strong support for further promoting the integration of rules between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, the cross-border flow of factors, and the integration of medical systems. In the future, under the framework of the national data exit safety management policy system, including relevant policies and measures under the “Memorandum of Cooperation on Facilitating Cross-border Data Flow in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, Shenzhen and Hong Kong will discuss and study practical plans. On the premise of complying with the regulations of the two regions, it is expected that safe, compliant, convenient, and trustworthy transmission of electronic medical records, examination reports and other data will be achieved through a safe and convenient channel for data such as Shenzhen and Hong Kong data across borders.
