On June 26, Cha Baidao officially announced the launch of the new melon series “Melon Popsicle” and “Melon Ice Cream”, which focuses on adding fresh melon pulp to each cup, bringing consumers a refreshing summer experience of “a mouthfeel of ice, full of melon fragrance”. Summer is the traditional peak sales season for the new tea industry. Hot weather continued to occur in many parts of the country this summer, further stimulating consumer demand for fresh fruit drinks to cool off the heat.

Since June, Chabaidao has successively launched a variety of fresh fruit drinks that focus on real fruit flesh, all of which have achieved good market performance. For example, “Peach Peach Oolong,” which was previously on the market, contained more than one whole piece of seasonal peach pulp in each cup; “Sea Salt Lychee Iced Tea” was also the first in the industry to be made by juicing fresh fruit at the store. Each cup contains about 19 fresh lychees. Since the launch of the Chabaidao lychee series products, sales have exceeded 7 million cups, making it the top of the new industry.

The relevant person in charge of Chabaidao explained that the nationwide supply chain network gave Chabaidao the motivation to insist on using “real fresh fruit.” This time, the new melon product uses the high-end variety “mushroom melon,” known as “ice cream growing on a vine.” The fresh fruit has been cut. The “Melon Popsicle” alone sold nearly 200,000 cups on the first day.

According to information, the biggest characteristic of mushroom melon is that it is dense, fresh, sweet but not greasy. It is clearly different from the crunchy and hard taste of ordinary melons, so it is more suitable for making a cool summer drink to cool off the heat. As a co-branded drink for the second wave of Cha Baidao's “Toy Story” limited event, “Melon Popsicle” uses mushroom and melon pulp, mixed with seven jasmine snow buds tea base, and added chewy horseshoe popcorn to make both the aroma of melon and tea burst in the mouth. In addition, the new “Melon Ice Cream” product uses vanilla ice cream as a base, adding hand-crushed tamago, melon pulp, coconut water, and coconut milk. The mouth is thick, cool, and sweet, making many netizens call it “a dream of eating melons in one bite.”

Various institutions such as Huaxin Securities and Cathay Pacific Haitong pointed out in relevant research reports released recently that by continuously strengthening the supply chain and product innovation capabilities, Chabaidao has obvious advantages in product development efficiency and explosion rate. It can achieve “explosions every month and new products every week”, and give Cha Baidao a “buy” rating based on these core competitive advantages.
