Recently, IDC released global smartphone market data for the first quarter of 2025, showing that although the industry as a whole is still facing cyclical adjustment pressure, Lenovo Motorola continues to show strong breakthroughs in the global smartphone market. Lenovo Motorola's shipments in the Japanese market surged 307.0%, ranking second in the Brazilian market.

Market analysts believe that with the application of AI technology, factors such as high-end market development and localized production are driving positive market growth.

This data is a strong proof that Motorola's product strength, market strategy and user needs are accurately matched. According to previous public data reports, in the first quarter of 2025, Lenovo Motorola's revenue in overseas markets other than China reached US$3.42 billion, an increase of 16.7% over the previous year, far exceeding the 4.4% growth rate of the market. The market share also rose from fifth to fourth, surpassing OPPO, Voice, and Google. In the global market, Lenovo ranked eighth with a revenue share of 2.5%, an increase of 0.3 percentage points over the previous year, and the growth rate of 16.4% far exceeded the industry average of 4.3%.

The North American market and the Asia-Pacific emerging market are the two core growth poles. Among them: the North American market had revenue of US$1.01 billion, up 20.4% year on year, ranking fourth with 3.6% share; the US market had revenue of US$990 million, rising from fourth to third. Revenue from emerging markets in the Asia-Pacific region also recorded a very rapid year-on-year growth of 92.1%.

Global shipments were 301.4 million units, a slight increase of 0.4%. Lenovo Motorola shipped 13.85 million units at a 5.6% growth rate, ranking eighth with 4.6% market share. Overseas markets shipped 13.71 million units, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%. The share surpassed Vivo and OPPO by 6.0%, ranking fifth.

The global smartphone market has entered a critical stage in the inventory game, and competition is becoming increasingly heated. With its deep brand accumulation and a steady stream of innovative momentum, Lenovo has successfully broken through the encirclement and opened up a new world in overseas markets. Behind this outstanding achievement is by no means a mechanical copy of the domestic operating model, but rather a unique path to overseas based on accurate insight into different regional markets, persistent investment in technology research and development, and localized business strategies adapted to local conditions.

In the field of innovation, Lenovo Motorola has always maintained an enterprising trend and regards AI technology as a new competitive highland. Recently, Lenovo has intensively launched a variety of products, not only the Moto Razr 60 series folding screen phones and Moto Edge 60 series straight-plate models, but also the new Moto G66j 5G in the Japanese market.

Take the AI Yuanqi Tianxi Super Smart equipped with the Lenovo Moto Razr 60 Ultra as an example. It can be called an all-day personal butler — supports global voice wake-up and can complete cross-app operations with just one sentence (such as “open WeChat to scan the QR code”); its built-in DeepSeek - R1 large model can instantly answer complex questions. In terms of intelligent interaction, AI screen recognition and translation functions are particularly useful: you can search for product information by selecting screen content, and can also translate 12 languages in real time (including photo translation and simultaneous interpretation), eliminating language barriers for overseas travel and shopping. In addition, Super Connect 2.1 technology enables seamless collaboration with Lenovo computers and tablets. File transfers are completed in seconds, and cross-screen relay is smooth and efficient, greatly improving the productivity experience.
